1. Who Can Attend Lamoka Baptist Camp?
Lamoka Baptist Camp is co-educational and open to all boys and girls ages 8-18 without regard to race, color, religion, or national origin.

3. What if I Have to Cancel My Registration or My Camper is Sent Home?
Our Lamoka Baptist Camp staff strives to maintain a safe and productive atmosphere at all times. The camp Director reserves the right to send any camper home for disciplinary reasons at his sole discretion. Campers who fight, use profanity, and behave inappropriately are disruptive to the entire Camp, and will not be permitted to stay. Campers sent home for disciplinary reasons will not receive a refund of any monies paid. *If you must cancel your camper’s registration before camp starts, we will refund all but $50.00. After a camper is signed in to camp on Monday, there will be no refund for any reason.

4. Will My Children Be Safe at Camp?
Health and Safety are job #1 at Lamoka Baptist Camp. We exceed all regulatory and safety standards and are inspected and certified by the New York State Department of Health. Certified lifeguards are on duty at the waterfront and accompany any campers to all water activities. There is a certified nurse or EMT on site at all times.

5. Who Works at Lamoka Baptist Camp?
Staff is hired based on experience and qualifications, and screened through personal interviews and reference checks. All staff members participate in an intensive pre-camp training to prepare them for the camping season. Counselors come from various parts of the country, and bring diversity and richness to the Camp.

6. Where Do Campers Sleep?
All campers live in cabins with counselor supervision, and are assigned by appropriate age groups and gender.

7. How Does My Camper Buy Things? Anyone who wishes to purchase from the Hunger Haven, Bookstore, or Craft area must exchange their money for a card at the registration line or at the office near the craft area. This applies to campers and visitors. For campers, a card will be issued to the counselor with the proper name and amount noted on the card. Friday evening all cards will be collected and all remaining money will be returned on Saturday morning.

There is an offering each week on Wednesday. Please encourage your child to participate in this ministry. This amount can be noted on the card. If you would like your child to purchase a T-shirt, please have the person doing the banking make note of this and the card will be marked accordingly. If you would like a limit per day this can also be noted on the card.

**These bank cards will be the responsibility of your child’s counselor.

8. What is there to buy?

·         Extra Paintballs (first 100 ball are free) Charge for an extra 100 balls

·         Extra Boat Time (first boat activity is free) Charge for 15 minutes of tubing or water skiing

9. What About the Camp Store?
The Camp Store is open daily in the afternoon through the week and during Saturday pick-up. The store sticks some snakc and souvenir items, and camps T-shirts will be available as well. The craft area is also open afternoons. The advisable limit is $25.00 per week, per camper.

10. What Activities Are There At Camp?

Water Activities – swimming, tubing, canoeing, paddle boats, water skiing, fishing, and sailing

Sports Activities – soccer, volleyball, basketball, archery, paintball, climbing wall.

Other Fun Activities – tug-of-war mud pit, super soapy water slide, hiking trails, crafts, playground, hay rides, wild camp games, bon-fire, special music and much more!

11. What if My Camper Has Other Obligations During Camp Week?
It is our goal to make your child’s stay at Lamoka Baptist Camp the highlight of the summer. We strive to create a community in which all campers are actively involved 100% of the time, which is difficult when campers leave for sporting events or other engagements. Please try to make arrangements within your schedule so your child can remain at camp for the entire week.

12. When is the Registration Deadline?
Registrations will be accepted until each camp week is filled. However, to secure your first choice for camp weeks and to reserve your spot in limited enrollment activities, you are encouraged to register early. Camp registrations paid in full by May 1 will receive a free Camp T-Shirt.

13. What not to bring?
Cell phones, audio or video devices, knives, drugs, alcohol, expensive jewelry.

14. When Is Check-In and Check-Out? Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. Monday morning and check-out is 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

15. What Is My Camper Leaves something Behind After Camp?
Any Lost-and-Found items will be collected in a box that will be available to search during pick-up on Saturdays. It is your responsibility to see that all camper items, including any medications, are taken home with you when you pick up your camper. Camp staff will not locate misplaced items nor can we mail them to you after you leave camp. ALL clothes, luggage and personal items must be labeled with the camper’s name.

16. Phone Calls:
A benefit of attending camp is gaining independence and confidence. Homesickness is an occasional camp problem, one that we deal with regularly and successfully. It can be made more difficult when campers call home or when parents call to camp. Please call only in an emergency.

17. How Can I Correspond With My Camper During Camp? Mail from camp is taken to the post office daily. If your child would like to write home, please include some stamps, and envelopes or postcards. Please feel free to mail letters or packages to your child while at camp. Mail that is received after the camper has gone home will be returned to the sender. 18. How Do I Get to Lamoka Baptist Camp?

From the NORTH WEST: Take 390 South to 86E (old 17E) to exit 40. Take 226 twelve miles North to Lamoka Lake Road on left. Follow one mile to camp.

From the NORTH EAST: Take turnpike to Geneva exit (42) and follow 14 South to Rock Stream Road, a right turn approx. 40 minutes) Turn right and go to T. At T take a right on to 14a. Travel about a half mile to 226, a left turn. Follow 226 South 7 miles to Tyron. Follow signs one mile to camp.

From EAST: Follow route 79 thru Watkins Glen route 409. Follow 409 ¼ mile to 23. Take right onto route 23 and follow 10 miles to Tyrone. Continue on route 23 ½ mile past the post office, take a left onto Cemetery Road. The Camp will be on the right.

From SOUTH, SOUTH EAST or WEST: Follow route 86 (old 17) to exit 40. Take 226 twelve miles North to Lamoka Lake Road on left. Follow signs one mile to camp.

Youth Camps

Youth camp is a wonderful place to grow and learn. Campers will have exposure to many fun activities and challenges. This is where you can meet new friends and make memories that last
for a lifetime.

Sports Camps

Sports weeks are designed to give exposure to and increase the level of the camper in their chosen sport. They can choose from basketball, aquatics, archery, soccer and volleyball. Take your sport to the next level!

Family Camp

What a great way to develop a closer relationship with your family and the Lord at the same time. You will be free to enjoy the family oriented activities or just relax in the sun. Let us cook and wash the dishes for you while you’re having fun!

Wilderness Adventure

This weekend is a wonderful adventure through nature as we explore the Finger Lakes Trail. Miles of beautiful sights and rugged terrain await those who will “take the challenge”.
This activity will instruct and challenge the camper both physically and spiritually. Applicants need to be able to hike long distances safely without endangering health conditions.
